Apricot Hardiness

Question: I have just bought an apricot tree in a container (described as a hardy apricot) is it safe to plant out now or should I wait until weather improves? Answer: I would place it in a sheltered spot in the garden and cover with a layer of horticultural fleece until the worst of the weather has passed.
