When the lawn browns and dries, I just bit the bullet. It soon recovers when the rain arrives. Besides, it slows down the growth so I can get away with a missed mow now and then…! I have a hose, but I never use it. I keep it just in case of fie really!

Eucalyptus leaves are poisonous ! I had a leaf pierce my foot and had a severe reaction. The trees are also very prone to falling over. We have had to have 2 sections of water main replaced due to root damage and the tree is shedding leaves and debris all over my garden. The tree is in our neighbours front garden and is now much taller than our house and about 30 feet wide so we get hardly any sunlight in the afternoons despite being South facing. They are not native and are a menace, they should be banned. People should show more consideration when planting fast growing trees. We had a beautiful garden and it’s now almost impossible to get anything to grow. Any zoos got a few Koalas we can borrow?
